Costs
Trek - per scout or adult - $595.00.  A non-refundable deposit of $50 has already been submitted to Philmont for 12 positions.  The next payment of $272.50 per person is due Oct. 31^st.  In order to reserve your spot, I will need to receive a payment of $322.50 on or before September 22^nd.  Final payment will be due March 1, 2009.

Travel Budget – Approximately $300.00

Train travel at this time is about $210.00 roundtrip, which includes bus service to and from Raton, NM, and Philmont.

Airlines – About $300.00 roundtrip at this time, but will also need bus service or rental van to Philmont

Add’l costs – approximately 6 meals on the road plus miscellaneous and souvenir costs

Safety
The guides on the Trek are very experienced and will be with the group throughout the Trek to teach you about wilderness safety and ensure your safety

Age
Scouts attending must  be 14 years of age before January 1, 2009, or have completed the 8^th grade and at least 13 years of age prior to attendance

Health
Renewed health forms will be required for all.  Your complete health form for Bartle, 2009, will be adequate.  They have height and weight requirements that all scouts and adults must meet prior to the Trek.
