Attention Adults Going to Scout Camp - Important

A requirement from council is that any adult who will be attending summer camp, part-time or full-time must be registered prior to going to camp.  This requires an adult volunteer application to be completed and submitted with the appropriate dues to the committee chairman at an upcoming troop meeting.

Letter to Parents
Our Camp Scoutmaster has put together a brief letter for the parents of Scouts who are going to Scout camp this summer.  Click HERE to read it.

Camp Fees Payment Schedule
Payment schedule for the $275 total Scout camp is as follows:

2nd payment due before February 20th , 2008 - $115.00
FINAL payment due before April 23rd, 2008 - $120.00
Please note, a $20 late fee will be assessed to any outstanding scout camp balances past April 23rd.

If you have any questions regarding this, please contact either Steve Preston or Jim Markey.
For those who would like to mail your checks, please send them to: Troop 391 Treasurer, 2537 SW Samuel Lane, Lee's Summit, MO 64081.  Please make your checks payable to "Troop 391" and mark them for "Bartle Summer Camp"

Letter to First Year Bartle Campers
This letter will help prepare the parents and Scouts by explaining what to expect and how to "be prepared" for summer camp.  Click HERE for the letter.  Please read this at least a few months prior leaving.  This will allow enough time to prepare.

LABELING PERSONAL GEAR
If you want it to come home from camp, put your son’s name and Troop 391 on it! If it doesn’t have a proper label on it, it may not make the round trip. Label everything with a permanent marker; under the collar, around the waistband, inside the shoe/sock, etc. Also label things like flashlights, Merit Badge books, pocketknives, and other equipment.

FORMS TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE LEAVING FOR CAMP
The following forms are required to be completed prior to leaving for Scout camp. Once completed, these can be turned into "Dr. Phil" Spitznagle at an upcoming troop meeting.

Visitor's Sunday
Troop 391’s Visitor’s Day will be Sunday, June 22nd. Visitor’s Day is an ideal time for parents to see their son, his unit and campsite, and the program facilities at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation. Please plan on arriving at camp at 10:00am - that is when the staff will start allowing visitors to enter the campsites.  This is an important day for your son!
