Thank you for taking time to visit our
Crew's website. Our Crew and Boy Scout
Troop is located in Lee's Summit,
Missouri. We chartered in 1992,
and currently, our
membership consists of about 40 Scouts
and 30+ adults. As part of the
Thunderbird district in the Heart of
America Council, we camp year round, in
addition to attending a long term
session at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Camp.
We're sponsored
by the Catholic Families for Scouting
organization and hold our troop meetings
at Our Lady of Presentation Catholic
Church in Lee's Summit.

New
Troop Hair Styles - Color Optional
Wanting to
be different, our Venture Crew was seen at the Mavericks game
sporting a new look for their hair.
Now that is some serious scout

Philmont 2012
To
All Troop and Crew Members and Adults:
Between Troop 391 and our Venture Crew,
we have available in the Summer of 2012
up to 36 open spots (3 crews) for
participation in a Philmont Expedition.
Dates of
arrival at Philmont for the Expeditions
are August 6th and 7th, and dates of
departure to return from Philmont are
August 18th and 19th. The numbers of
position for Scouts or Adult Leaders are
up to 12 Adults, and/or 30 Scouts. (I
know the numbers don't add up.) Each
Expedition is comprised of up to 12
individuals, 2-4 adults (over age 21)
and 8-10 scouts. We will comprise as
many crews and individuals who would
like to participate. HOWEVER, we must
make our reservation by February 25,
2011.
Scouts that would
like to attend must be 14 years of age
OR have completed the eight grade and 13
years of age at the time of
participation. (This is a change from
previous years.)
The fee for the
Expedition is $740.00 per participant,
and covers the expedition along the
trail. This does not include travel
costs, equipment, meals during travel,
souvenirs, etc. A non-refundable
reservation fee of $100.00 is due to
Philmont by February 25th. Subsequent
payments will be due 10/1/2011 and
3/1/2012.
**Important** In
order to verify we have interest enough
to reserve at least one Expedition, I
need to know who is interested in
attending. To date, I have received only
one email confirmation from a scout
expressing interest in attending. If you
would like to attend one of these
Expeditions, please send me an email as
soon as possible to jmarkey@kc.rr.com
confirming your interest.
If I receive enough
positive responses, I will move forward
with reserving as many expeditions as we
need to accommodate our group. You can
